Fairtrade is a global movement to empower the farmers and workers behind our everyday food and fashion choices - it works to share the benefits of trade more equally with everyone involved locally and globally.
The Fairtrade Movement works with over 1.7 million farmers and workers in 1,707 producer organisations in more than 30 countries. The Movement is made up of various layers globally, such as Fairtrade Organisations, national Fairtrade Networks, Towns and Academic institutes and Schools, certifying agencies, supportive importers, civil society organisations, researchers, volunteers and most importantly, YOU, the consumers. Together with farmers and producers, all these players participate in shifting industries towards fairness, justice and equity.
